Social Media Videos +

We are accepting abstracts in the form of social media videos (TikTok and Instagram Reels) not exceeding one minute! Showcase your creativity and expertise in the following categories

Surgical Media Videos

Surgical video abstracts are short, engaging video summaries of surgical research, intended to increase accessibility and impact by presenting key findings visually and concisely. They are typically under three minutes, supported by a narrative, clear visuals, and sometimes graphics, aiming to hook viewers within the first 30 seconds. The goal is to provide an accessible, readable, and memorable overview of complex surgical research to a broader audience.

  • Abstracts are to be submitted online only.
  • Focus on the main findings, using images, graphics, and video footage to illustrate the research effectively.
  • Aim to tell a story that grabs attention early on, rather than just reading a script.
  • Avoid jargon to make the content understandable to a wider audience beyond specialists.
  • Ensure the video is in a common format (like MP4), has a minimum resolution (e.g., 640x480), and a suitable frame rate (e.g., 20 fps).
  • Keep the video short, generally under three minutes, and consider a file size limit, such as 10MB, to ensure it's easily shareable.
  • Include a clear call to action to direct viewers to the full research article or other relevant resources.
  • All the submitted surgical videos will be subjected to an evaluation process.
